A training workshop to build the capacity of selected Faculty Members from the College of Health and Allied Sciences (CoHAS) on Grant and Proposal Writing is underway at the Conference Room of Coconut Grove Hotel in Elmina.

The workshop, which will span a five-day period, is being organised by the Biomedical and Clinical Research Centre-UCC in collaboration with African Centre of Excellence for Population, Health and Policy, as well as Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria.

Among the subjects that will be tackled by the participants during the five-day workshop are

• understanding the funder and knowing the funder requirements
• An overview of the grant scoring process
• Budgeting
• Overview of study designs for qualitative studies, among others

Participants in the workshop will be presented with certificates for the five-day encounter ( February 13-17,2023).
